I’m not sure I ever had trouble with that, no, but I know people who have. If the relationship thing is new to him, it’s probably just that he likes the attention he gets from it. When one of your friends gets a boyfriend or a girlfriend, you have to understand that they have a whole new person to schedule into their lives. The time spent with you may be compromised in that getting to know each other phase. I also notice that some people just assume that when their friends are in a relationship, they will just cease contact, so they don’t initiate anything either.

My advice to you would be to invite him to hang out, do something, whatevs, and hopefully he’ll make time. If you do and he says over and over that he can’t because he’s with you-know-who, tell him you can all hang out together and that you just miss him. If it’s still a no, he just sucks.
